All international students are required to apply for a student pass to study full-time in Singapore.

Below are the documents needed for the application of a student pass:

1.    Passport
2.    Birth certificate
3.    Highest qualification: certificates & transcripts
4.    4 Coloured passport-sized photographs
5.    If visa is required for travelling to Singapore, the applicant has to show documentary proof of financial ability in the form of bank fixed deposit. The amount on the statement must be at least the equivalent of S$30,000
6.    Completed Forms V36 and Form 16
7.    Completed Course Application Form

NOTE: Both original and English-translated documents are required.         
Translated documents need to be notorised.

All applications must be accompanied by the registration fee of S$300.00 and ICA student pass processing fee of SGD 30.00 payable either by cash, cheque or demand draft/telegraphic transfer (TT) from the student.

Applicant is not required to be present in Singapore while his/her application is being considered by ICA. No extension of stay will be granted while the application is under processing.

Processing Time

The general processing time for a new application is about four to six weeks upon the receipt of a duly completed application by ICA. Some applications may however take a longer time to process.

Application Outcome

All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application.
Applicants are to call in person with a valid immigration pass to collect the Students Pass only after the application has been approved. The Student Pass will only be issued upon the fulfilment of the conditions stipulated in the ICA In-Principle Letter.
